German private collection, acquired in the 1990s at Brussels. With an expert report by Prof. Justus Müller Hofstede, February 2006. He dates the painting to the 1760s. A later version of this motif by Lens is housed in the Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique, Brüssel (inv.-no. 590).
